The individualised food plans are easy to follow, because instead of excluding whole food groups, the plans are more specific and give you more options of what you CAN eat, rather than focusing on what you can’t eat. About Your Naturopath
My name is Alexia, and I have a special interest in mental health, stress and gut health.
When I was growing up, I experienced IBS and reflux often, and was basically told it was something I would have to live with. Then, as a late teen and in my early 20s I developed quite severe acne and had awful skin - I thought that it was something that teens had not adults! I tried everything, being put on the pill, various harsh skincare products, courses of antibiotics, nothing helped.
At 29 years old, I was diagnosed with ADHD - something I realised that i had been dealing with ever since primary school but never made the connection because I didn’t have the typical symptoms at the time such as hyperactivity and being a bother in school.
It wasn’t until a friend of mine who was studying natural therapies gave me a book to read which talked about changing my diet that I made the connection between gut health and ALL my symptoms. I wanted to fix my reflux and IBS, but then my skin started to improve, and so did my mood, mental health and ADHD symptoms. This was what eventually led me to studying Naturopathy to help others with holistic health care.
